Job Description

  • Average Weekly Gross: $1,345
  • Average Yearly W2: $69,900Top Earners: Top 40% of the drivers on this account average $78,000 per year, top 20% of the drivers on this account average $84,000 per year.
  • Training: 2-3 days paid at $200 per day

  • Schedule: Schedule will vary depending on freight flow. Drivers will work 5 consecutive days with 2 days off, weekend work is mandatory but compensated at $50 per weekend day worked. There will be opportunity for a driver to work 6 days
  • Schedule: Thursday – Monday
  • Start time: 1500-1800Shift: 12-14 hours

  • Delivering mostly refrigerated grocery products from Olathe, KS. distribution center to grocery locations
  • Expectations of the driver include dropping an empty trailer into a dock door when picking up pre-loaded trailer and dropping empty in door or on yard after completion of load
  • Unloading will be completed by the driver with assistance from an electric pallet jack
  • On occasion, a backhaul will be completed by the driver after the completion of product delivery
  • On occasion, a non-refrigerated load will be completed utilizing a dry van trailerManagement team is located on-site in Olathe, KS.

  • Deliveries will be unloaded by the driver using an electric pallet jack – Electric pallet jack training required (will be completed onsite after hire)
  • Steel-toed boots required – account will reimburse cost up to $75
  • Required to haul Intermodal loads and loads for other Dedicated accounts when freight volumes are low

  • Automatic Daycab tractors
  • Slip seating may be required
  • 53’ single-temp refrigerated trailers (with Bulkhead)
  • Electric pallet jack
  • Occasional 53’ dry van trailers
  • No Passengers



Moving Violations

  • No more than 3 in the last 3 years

* Based on the offense date

Policy on License suspensions

  • No more than 30 days in the last 3 years for moving violation
  • No more than 12 months in the last 3 years for non-moving violation
  • Must have a valid license for 2 out of last 3 years

DOT Recordable Accidents

  • No more than 3 minor accidents/incidents in the past 3 years
  • No more than 1 highway accident in the past year
  • No major preventable in the last 3 years

* Major Preventable Accident Definition – Damage totaling $25,000 or more

Ticket / Accident / Incident Combo

  • No more than 3 accidents and/or tickets
  • No more than one preventable with less than 12 months of experience

Major Moving Violations- that are automatic DQ’s

  • No careless or reckless driving convictions in the last 3 years
  • No rear end or roll over accidents in the last 3 years

Policy Against Unemployment- even if it is accounted for

  • No more than 22 months of unemployment in the last 3 years

Felony Convictions

  • All criminal convictions are reviewed on an individual basis as part of an overall review of the file.
  • Felony drug charges must be outside of 7 years

  • No more than 1 and it must be outside of 5 years old
  • If Driver has 2 DUI’s, they will be considered if both are prior to 2002
  • Drivers with a DUI/DWI in a CMV may be considered for employment with appropriate SAP paperwork.
