This regional driving job operates within Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Missouri, New Jersey, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Delaware, Tennessee, New York and Pennsylvania. 

Drivers only need 6 months experience and live within 25 miles of Columbus OH.

PAY

  • .52 cpm (average 2200 miles/week)
  • $15.00 per stop (average 19 stops/week)
  • Average weekly gross:  $1,538.00
  • Average annual gross:  $80,000 – Top earners will make $90,000+ annually
  • 1 week of training and will pay $1000 for the week.

Pay guarantee

  • $1400 if driver works 6 days.

TIME OFF/ SHIFTS

  • Start Times:  Will range throughout the day – start times cannot be selected
    • 75% will be night driving (pickup 20:00 – 04:00)
  • Account will do their best to give app their preference, but the driver must be flexible.
  • Due to the nature of the operation being 24/7. Sometimes your load will carryover into your day off. Meaning your 6th day of work sometimes will finish out early on the 7th day.
  • Driver PTO:  Immediately (1.5 hours per week), 6th Anniversary (2.3hours per week), 19th Anniversary (3 hours per week)

POSITION DETAIL

  • 90% drop and hook at customer DC and 10% live load/unload.
  • No touch freight
  • Driver will be picking up (drop/hook) loaded trailer from Customer DC’s and delivering to other customer DC’s.
  • Drivers will be required to make 3rd party backhaul when available.

Special requirements:

  • This is a primarily night driving position (75%) – driver needs to be willing and able to run nights.
  • Drivers will be required to work intermodal, support other DCS accounts, or 3rd party loads when volume is low

Training/Orientation/Truck Info:

  • Riders are not permitted
  • Possibility of slip seating during training.
  • Freightliners and Internationals.  Limited number of Freightliners that are typically reserved for tenured drivers.

Qualifications

 

Moving Violations

  • No more than 3 in the last 3 years

* Based on the offense date

Policy on License suspensions

  • No more than 30 days in the last 3 years for moving violation
  • No more than 12 months in the last 3 years for non-moving violation
  • Must have a valid license for 2 out of last 3 years

DOT Recordable Accidents

  • No more than 3 minor accidents/incidents in the past 3 years
  • No more than 1 highway accident in the past year
  • No major preventable in the last 3 years

* Major Preventable Accident Definition – Damage totaling $25,000 or more

Ticket / Accident / Incident Combo

  • No more than 3 accidents and/or tickets
  • No more than one preventable with less than 12 months of experience

Major Moving Violations- that are automatic DQ’s

  • No careless or reckless driving convictions in the last 3 years
  • No rear end or roll over accidents in the last 3 years

Policy Against Unemployment- even if it is accounted for

  • No more than 22 months of unemployment in the last 3 years

Felony Convictions

  • All criminal convictions are reviewed on an individual basis as part of an overall review of the file.
  • Felony drug charges must be outside of 7 years

Misdemeanors

  •  All criminal convictions are reviewed on an individual basis as part of an overall review of the file.

DUI/DWI

  • No more than 1 and it must be outside of 5 years old
  • If Driver has 2 DUI’s, they will be considered if both are prior to 2002
  • Drivers with a DUI/DWI in a CMV may be considered for employment with appropriate SAP paperwork.
