This regional driving job operates within the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. 

Drivers only need 3 months experience and must live within 60 miles of Tacoma WA.

$1000 bonus available for a limited time

  • $1,500 weekly average
  • $78,000 Yearly average
  • Potential to earn more by working a 6th day
  • Training lasts 1 week and driver will earn $140 per day
  • Top earners make $90,000 yearly by running an extra day every other week and being flexible to the accounts needs.

Time off / shifts:

  • Start Times between 1200-1800
  • Shift will be Saturday – Wednesday
  • Thursday and Friday off!
  • Drivers will be home 3-4 nights a week for their 10 hour break
  • Drivers will get a 34 hour reset at home.

Position details:

  • Semi Local position where drivers will deliver food products to distributors.
  • Deliveries will be 60% storage facilities 40% warehouses
  • Food product will be delivered in either dry van or reefer
  • Drivers will have set routes for the most part, but may fluctuate a little.
  • 9/10 the loads are preloaded. Sometimes the warehouse gets behind but the account will call the driver and give them a heads up before they start their clock if this happens.

Special requirements:

  • At the receiver drivers will use an electric pallet jack and lift gate for unloading – avg weight of pallets is 900 lbs.
  • Drivers are required to chain depending on the weather it can be up to 4 times a week.
  • Drivers are required to work the Holidays due to the account operating 24/7 but the driver will get Holiday pay on top of their normal pay for the day.

Truck Info:

  • Fleet is 85% automatics and will be fully automatic by October
  • Will accommodate automatic restrictions first
  • Drivers will slip-seat
  • Conventional trucks that cannot be taken home for time off.
  • Drivers are allowed passengers once a month. Passengers will have to be over 13 years old and must have the account’s approval prior to riding.

Moving Violations

  • No more than 3 in the last 3 years

Policy on License suspensions

  • No more than 30 days in the last 3 years for moving violation
  • No more than 12 months in the last 3 years for non-moving violation
  • Must have a valid license for 2 out of last 3 years

DOT Recordable Accidents

  • No more than 3 minor accidents/incidents in the past 3 years
  • No more than 1 highway accident in the past year
  • No major preventable in the last 3 years

* Major Preventable Accident Definition – Damage totaling $25,000 or more

Ticket / Accident / Incident Combo

  • No more than 3 accidents and/or tickets
  • No more than one preventable with less than 12 months of experience

Major Moving Violations- that are automatic DQ’s

  • No careless or reckless driving convictions in the last 3 years
  • No rear end or roll over accidents in the last 3 years

Policy Against Unemployment- even if it is accounted for

  • No more than 22 months of unemployment in the last 3 years

Felony Convictions

  • All criminal convictions are reviewed on an individual basis as part of an overall review of the file.
  • Felony drug charges must be outside of 7 years

  • No more than 1 and it must be outside of 5 years old
  • If Driver has 2 DUI’s, they will be considered if both are prior to 2002
  • Drivers with a DUI/DWI in a CMV may be considered for employment with appropriate SAP paperwork.
