PAY

  • $1480 weekly avg
  • $77,000 yearly avg.
  • Training will be $1500/week

TIME OFF/SHIFTS

  • 20000-2300 or 2300 -0300 starts.
  • Two consecutive days off either Fri/Sat or Sun /Mon
  • Typical work week is 5 days; however work is available on 6 days and some periods of customer surge may require 6 day work weeks.
  • Drivers should expect to be out overnight in the truck 5 days per week.
  • Account is a 24/7 operation so fleet consists of day and night driving depending on driver start time.

POSITION DETAILS

  • Drivers must be flexible due to customers service requirements.
  • Operates within New York (including Long island), Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey.
  • Drop and hook at customer DC.
  • Driver will be picking up (drop/hook) loaded trailer from customer DC’s and making multiple stop deliveries to stores.
  • Drivers will be required to pick up return pallets at stores when making deliveries and return to the DC.
  • Routes will vary.
  • Truck will be parked on customer DC for time off.
  • On-time service is critical for customer. On-time pickup, transit and delivery monitored.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Mostly live driver unload with an electric pallet jack at customer delivery locations.
  • Driver will operate a liftgate trailer and use an electric pallet jack when offloading at Advance Auto stores and loading return pallets at Advance Auto Stores.
  • Drivers will be required to work intermodal, support other DCS accounts, or 3rd party loads when volume is low.
  • All drivers are required to be HAZMAT certified before hire.

Qualifications

 

Moving Violations

  • No more than 3 in the last 3 years

* Based on the offense date

Policy on License suspensions

  • No more than 30 days in the last 3 years for moving violation
  • No more than 12 months in the last 3 years for non-moving violation
  • Must have a valid license for 2 out of last 3 years

DOT Recordable Accidents

  • No more than 3 minor accidents/incidents in the past 3 years
  • No more than 1 highway accident in the past year
  • No major preventable in the last 3 years

* Major Preventable Accident Definition – Damage totaling $25,000 or more

Ticket / Accident / Incident Combo

  • No more than 3 accidents and/or tickets
  • No more than one preventable with less than 12 months of experience

Major Moving Violations- that are automatic DQ’s

  • No careless or reckless driving convictions in the last 3 years
  • No rear end or roll over accidents in the last 3 years

Policy Against Unemployment- even if it is accounted for

  • No more than 22 months of unemployment in the last 3 years

Felony Convictions

  • All criminal convictions are reviewed on an individual basis as part of an overall review of the file.
  • Felony drug charges must be outside of 7 years

Misdemeanors

  •  All criminal convictions are reviewed on an individual basis as part of an overall review of the file.

DUI/DWI

  • No more than 1 and it must be outside of 5 years old
  • If Driver has 2 DUI’s, they will be considered if both are prior to 2002
  • Drivers with a DUI/DWI in a CMV may be considered for employment with appropriate SAP paperwork.

Failed Drug/Alcohol Test

  • Must have 1 year of safe Driving since completing an SAP program
