With this regional job, drivers will operate primarily in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, North Dakota, and Indiana.

Pay Breakdown:

  • $250 per day of training (avg 1 week)
  • Average Weekly Gross:  $ 1,442 – estimated weekly pay (based on 1973 miles a week and average of 8 stops per week), with the potential to make more.
  • Average Yearly Gross:  $ 75,000

Time Off / Shift: 

  • Will work 5 days per week including a Saturday or Sunday shift depending on assigned freight.
  • Start Time: (0300 – 0800) – driver unable to select start time
  • Days off will be consecutive and drivers will have a set schedule.  All schedules include at least one weekend day at home for a total of 2 consecutive days off.

Position Details:

  • With this regional job, drivers will operate in MN, WI, IL, NE, IA, KS, MO, ND, MO, IN, and occasionally other states depending on customer need on a case by case basis.
  • Deliver building materials on a flatbed trailer to building sites and customer warehouses.
  • All loads preloaded by shipper
  • Weekly static runs
  • All deliveries live unload by shippers customer average 1-2 hours.
  • Some backhaul loads will be drop and hook upon reasonable request from the shipper.
  • Account pays on Hub Miles

Special Requirements:

  • Account will give driver 60 days to get Hazmat – account will pay cost to obtain
  • Account will provide all personal protective equipment
  • Driver to strap and secure load at origin – all trailers are Conestogas
  • Driver to unstrap load at destination. Will not have to unload.
  • Drivers are home every night during the training period.  The truck will be assigned after the completion of training.

Truck Info:

  • Can take the truck home with approval from the AM if the driver lives over 35 miles from the account
  • Passengers are not permitted.

Qualifications

 

Moving Violations

  • No more than 3 in the last 3 years

* Based on the offense date

Policy on License suspensions

  • No more than 30 days in the last 3 years for moving violation
  • No more than 12 months in the last 3 years for non-moving violation
  • Must have a valid license for 2 out of last 3 years

DOT Recordable Accidents

  • No more than 3 minor accidents/incidents in the past 3 years
  • No more than 1 highway accident in the past year
  • No major preventable in the last 3 years

* Major Preventable Accident Definition – Damage totaling $25,000 or more

Ticket / Accident / Incident Combo

  • No more than 3 accidents and/or tickets
  • No more than one preventable with less than 12 months of experience

Major Moving Violations- that are automatic DQ’s

  • No careless or reckless driving convictions in the last 3 years
  • No rear end or roll over accidents in the last 3 years

Policy Against Unemployment- even if it is accounted for

  • No more than 22 months of unemployment in the last 3 years

Felony Convictions

  • All criminal convictions are reviewed on an individual basis as part of an overall review of the file.
  • Felony drug charges must be outside of 7 years

Misdemeanors

  •  All criminal convictions are reviewed on an individual basis as part of an overall review of the file.

DUI/DWI

  • No more than 1 and it must be outside of 5 years old
  • If Driver has 2 DUI’s, they will be considered if both are prior to 2002
  • Drivers with a DUI/DWI in a CMV may be considered for employment with appropriate SAP paperwork.

Failed Drug/Alcohol Test

  • Must have 1 year of safe Driving since completing an SAP program
